El Anatsui

El Anatsui is one of the most recognized African artists. A short list of his museum collectors include: The British Museum, The Pompidou Center, Paris; the National Museum of African Art, Washington and The de Young Museum, San Francisco. Perhaps the many museums and private collectors who own his wall hangings in wood or metal are attracted because the work presents Africa in a way that is authentic, provocative and reverential.
