Monique LeHoulleur

Although her sculpture is anything but traditional, there is much about the work of Monique Le Houlleur which implicitly speaks to respected African traditions. It is almost as if she is calling us to look deeper, temporally and spiritually, as she conjures a greater respect for, and understanding of, the part of West Africa she so loves and admires. She has exhibited as widely as Japan and France with her most recent opening in Paris being introduced by the French Prime Minister: Dominique de Villepin.
